Baldness Medication and Male Enlargement
Hair growth in males is one of the things deeply related to sex and to self-esteem. Men are very proud of their hair, especially when they can keep most of it beyond a certain age. There is something comforting and encouraging in sporting a fine head of hair well into the old age and it may be related to the fact that the body is still producing enough testosterone to keep up the secondary sex characteristics. But if the hairline starts to recede, men are quick to resort to various pills and treatments in order to stop or reverse the process. Unfortunately, these pills have some nasty side effects.
Penis enlargement and baldness medication don’t mix well at all mainly because baldness pills either interfere with the cardiovascular system or with the production of testosterone and you can guess what the effects are. One of the most common drugs used by men to treat baldness is called Rogaine. The active compound in this drug is called Minoxidil and was initially used as a vasodilator to treat high blood pressure. The list of side effects includes dizziness and increased heart rate, which is plain bad for penis enlargement since it depends on the unhindered flow of blood to the pubic area.
Another drug that’s widely use is Propecia. This one has a decent chance of success and can be used by both men and women, although all the hair gained during treatment is lost within one year of stopping the therapy. Nevertheless, among the side effects reported by men using Propecia are gynecomastia (the development of abnormally large mammary glands in males resulting in breast enlargement), prostate problems in younger people and depression. It is useless to say that the drug that interferes with testosterone and causes depression isn’t going to help your penis enlargement that much.
Drugs like Revivogen and Ketoconazole belong to the same category as Propecia because they are also based on substances that inhibit the process that converts free testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, a more potent version of the basic hormone. Some men use Saw Palmetto to treat baldness, although pills containing Saw Palmetto extract work in the same way as the three drugs mentioned above. It is believed that using a natural substance instead of synthetic chemicals is safer and healthier, but so far there is a general lack of properly conducted studies to prove this appealing theory.
The bottom line is that drugs used to treat baldness have unwanted side effects that interfere with both the sex life and any attempts at penis enlargement. Male enhancement depends on good blood flow and an existing or possible healthy production of testosterone. Dealing with substances that meddle with the testosterone production and conversion cycle is not the area of penile fitness exercises. It should be noted, however, that penis enlargement exercises and an active lifestyle may help normalize the production and binding of free testosterone and actually remove the cause of hair loss.
